Disaster Preparedness: Wordless Wednesday
Hills Disaster Preparedness Kit
We had a little bit of snow over the weekend and freezing rain. The thaw from the rain created power outages and we were without power for a day or so. Do you have a disaster preparedness kit? Here’s a quick glimpse of what’s in our kit!
We received one of these too and it is super cool!
SO many great components! 🙂 I hope I don’t need to use any of them ever…
That looks like a great disaster kit! I need to reevaluate ours. Thanks for the reminder.
I wouldn’t have had these top of mind if it wasn’t for these power outages we keep getting! It forced me…
I’m so bad about this. Creating one of these kits has been on my todo list for years. I think I’ll put it on my New Years Resolution list and actually get it done soon!
I know! Me too! You know I think some brands just prepared these and I have one I purchased from the Red Cross as it was already prepared!
That came just in time for Portland’s snowpocolypse! Hope you’re staying safe and warm over there. My two (especially Sinead) are desperate for it all to melt!

How fired up are you that the snow is melting now! We couldn’t be happier!!
Oh, i haven’t even thought of having a disaster kit. What do you put in there? This is a very interesting idea thank you for sharing. Definitely going to prepare one soon!!
Oh it’s so great to have a kit in place! http://www.hillspet.com/food-shelter-love/emergency-help.html check out this link as they tell you exactly what you need!
No kit here. When we travel we have a kit, but around here we lose power for maybe a minute once a year. The only disaster would be a tornado, but there isn’t much one can do about that either. Mom always has plenty of food and things on hand for everyone so we are set.
You would laugh at the small amount of snow we had when we lost power. The whole city shuts down with 1-2 inches. 🙂 Pathetic!
